Prior to RETREAT, William won a best editing award at the 2020 Bend Film Festival for REVIVAL, a documentary feature following the efforts of former dance legends from Broadway and Martha Graham Company as they create and produce a new show starring New York senior citizens. REVIVAL played at numerous festivals around the U.S. and won several awards.

Previously, William edited commercials for brands like Glossier, Kerastase, Fast Company, and Mercedes-Benz. He also shot music videos for Dave 'Smoota' Smith (TV on the Radio), Stuart Bogie (Arcade Fire), Grey Mcmurray (Gil-Scott Herron), and numerous others. In 2021, William shot the forthcoming travel series MIKE LOVES SICILY, for director and host Michael Carlo Allen.

He's currently at work establishing a new production company, Two Things True, and is finishing a co-directed feature doc, RENDALF THE WIZARD, about a Lord of the Rings tour guide in New Zealand dealing with grief in a wonderful way.
